Description

Any of numerous marbles quarried in the northern part of Georgia. The coarse-grain marbles usually have pale colors ranging from white to pink to gray to green with large sparkling crystals. The White Georgia marble is used for statuary while most (green marble Georgia green, White marble Georgia White, Cherokee marble Georgia Cherokee, Silver Gray marble Georgia Silver Gray, marble Creole, marble Etowah, and Mezzotint) are used as interior and exterior building stones.
