Leadless glaze

Description

A British term for a glaze with no more than 1% (by dry weight) of lead oxide. Leadless glazes are usually marked with an "L" in suppliers lists (Fournier 1996). They usually contain oxide boric oxide as a flux. Leadless glazes can be soft.
