Description
Dyestuffs used for dyeing fiber acetate fibers. The most common type of dye used for acetate fibers is a disperse dye. It consists of a water-insoluble dye azo or dye anthraquinone dye that is dispersed in an aqueous dyebath with the aid of a surfactant. It is readily absorbed by the acetate fiber producing a brilliant and water-fast color. A second type of dye, amino azo, is solubilized, rather than dispersed, in an aqueous dye bath. It is also absorbed into the acetate fiber, then treated with acid to produce an insoluble, permanent color.
