Description

A liquid mixture of long chain hydrocarbon fatty acids obtained from animals. Animal oils are primarily composed of the glycerides of unsaturated fatty acids along with small amounts of cholesterol. Most animal oils are dark color liquids with an unpleasant smell. Examples are oil fish oil, oil neats-foot oil, lard oil, oil bone oil, oil sperm oil, or liver oil cod liver oil.
