Pontianak gum

Description

An elastic exudation that comes from the Dyera costulata and Dyera laxifolia trees that are native to Borneo and Malaysia. Pontianak gum is a rubber-like material that is similar to balata, chicle and gutta-percha. It is used to make high friction coatings and insulation.
