Celloidin

Description
A former trademark for a pure cellulose nitrate solution used to embed tissues, prepare microscope slides and make photographic film emulsions. Celloidin was first used about 1880. It was sold as tough gelatinous tablets or chips that were dissolve in ethanol for use.
