Description
Any of several dark-color, thermosetting resins obtained from the condensation reaction of furfural with phenols, ketones or amines. Furfural is an inexpensive aldehyde made from corncobs and other cellulosic waste materials. All types of furfural resins are highly resistant to solvents, acids and alkalis. They are used for adhesives, coatings and molding materials.
