Description

A fluorescent substance used to detect the presence of another material. Examples of fluorochromes used in the detection of art materials are: sulfate berberine sulfate, orange acridine orange, yellow acridine yellow, O Auramine O, R Blancophor R, dansyl chloride cycloheptaamylose dansyl chloride, dichlorofluorescein, isothiocyanate fluorescein isothiocyanate, Rhodamine B Sulfonyl Chloride Lissamine Rhodamine B Sulfonyl Chloride, primuline, Y pyronine Y, B Rhodamine B, rosaniline, serotonin, Tetracycline, and Red Texas Red.
