International Committee for Documentation of the International Council of Museums
"CIDOC is the international focus for the documentation interests of museums and similar organisations. It is a constituent committee of the International Council of Museums (ICOM), established during the 1950 ICOM General Conference in London. CIDOC now has over 750 members from 60 countries, including over 400 voting members. These members include documentation specialists, registrars, computer managers, system designers, advisors and trainers." (from website)
