Uemera's notes The name of this plant is either Ouboku (Gold Holy_ or Old fustic. The color would be affected by ash water but hardly by acid. Old fustic tree grows tall, suggesting that it might be what was called Kōro-tree (黄櫨木) in the ancient China.
