Uemera's notes | The resultant colors would be similar to those dyed with its bark. The left sample is the deeper depth of shade of the right one. The plant was also read in Japanese classic poem in the Manyōshū (万葉集), volume 10, from the 7th -8th Century AD: 足引の山路も知らず白かしの枝もとををに雪のふれれば |
