Uemera's notes | One of the primitive dyeing techniques using fresh flower petal. This experiment was carried out in May 1931. The technique was read in a classic poem in the Manyōshū (万葉集), volume 17, from the 7th -8th century AD: かきつばた衣に摺りつけますらをのきそひ猟する月は未にけり |
