Description

The transformation of a liquid into a gel or solid. Solutions may coagulate over time as colloidal particles aggregate of clot. Alternatively some chemicals such as salts or acids, can rapidly cause the coagulation of some gums or proteins. For example borax will gel gum arabic, acid will clot milk and formaldehyde will harden gelatin solutions.
