Description
A solid compound with water physically bound within its matrix. Minerals can have a stoichometric amount of water incorporated in their mineral lattice, such as gypsum containing 2 water molecules for every calcium sulfate molecule. Paper can be hydrated by processing (beating, bleaching or cooking) so that it will hold more water.
