Description
A naturally form volcanic glass that has a dull resin-like appearance. Pitchstone, like obsidian, is formed when volcanic lava cools quickly. However, unlike obsidian, pitchstone is a mixture of amorphous glass with small crystals of feldspar and quartz. It is opaque and may be brown, black or gray in color.
