Description

An ambiguous abbreviation commonly used in the art conservation literature to mean polyvinyl acetate and in the chemical literature for polyvinyl alcohol. The standard abbreviation for polyvinyl acetate is PVAC and the standard abbreviation for polyvinyl alcohol is PVOH.
