Description
The decrease in height of the sample after it is removed from a slump cone. The slump test is used on concrete to obtain a relative measure of consistency and stiffness. The slump of a given material depends on its water content and workability. The higher the water content of a mixture the greater the slump and conversely, lower water concentrations will produce a stiffer mixture that will slump less.
