Cornwall stone

Description

A fine-grain stone produced from the decomposition of feldspathic granite native to England and Wales. Cornwall stone is very similar to petuntse. It contains quartz, mica, and fluorite and the powdered stone is considered an important addition to kaolin for the production of porcelain. It is also used in glazes.
