Zinnia

Description

A light to greenish yellow dye obtained from the flowers of any species of Zinnia. The fresh petals are ground and boiled in water to extract the colorant. On wool, zinnias produce a light yellow color with an alum mordant and a yellowish-green color with a chrome mordant. The color has good fastness.
