Soluble cotton

Description

1) An old name used for solutions of cellulose nitrate dissolved in ethanol (Brady 1971).

2) An old name for cotton gauze oxidized with nitrogen dioxide. Soluble cotton gauze pads were used for surgical dressings (Brady 1971).
