Description

A measure of the opacity of a paint or pigment. When expressed numerically, it is the number of square feet over which a gallon of paint, or pound of pigment, can be uniformly spread at a thickness that will provide a specified contrast ratio (ASTM). The contrast ratio is calculated from the colors measured when the paint is placed over both black and white backgrounds.
