Description

[W.R.Gore & Associates] A registered trademark for rigid plastic grid containing silica gel enclosed in GORE-TEX® which is a nonwoven polyester fabric laminated with polytetrafluoroethylene (Teflon®). GORE-TEX® silica tiles provide a stable moisture content in a closed environment by allowing moisture vapor passage in both directions. The red tiles are recommended for use with relative humidities above 40% and the blue tiles are recommended for use with RH below 40%. Each tile has a color indicator for relative humidity. The silica gel in the tiles can be regenerated with moist air or oven drying. Each tile is calibrated to condition about 1.5 cubic feet of air in a well sealed case.
