Gray fox Urocyon cinereoargenteus

Description

A small gray colored fox (Urocyon cinereoargenteus) in North America or (Pseudalopex griseus) in South America. Gray foxes have thick, coarse gray fur with yellowish guard hairs. Fox pelts have been used for trim, capes, collars, and cuffs. The hoary fox (Vulpes cana) of Europe is also sometimes called a gray fox.
