Uemura's notes | When dyed in a cold bath, the resultant color would be yellow, not red tone. Without adding ash water, the resultant color would be a pale yellow tone, which is not satisfactory. Use of its leaves for dyeing would also achive the same results. The dyeing technique was known to be used for " (Tamba-cloth)" (the dyed color of the Tamba-cloth is generally in more brown tone). |
