Description
A natural mixture of salts and inorganic matter that is mixed with wool grease on the surface of raw wool. Suint is primarily composed of dried perspiration from the sheep. There is approximately 12% by weight on raw wool. It is separated from the wool grease in a solvent cleaning procedure. Suint contains a high proportion of potassium salts and is used as a source of potash.
