Description
An obscure Italian name for an opaque lead-tin yellow pigment. Giallolino is the current equivalvent of lead-tin yellow type II. The pale yellow pigment was originallly made for use in colored glass. It was an important pigment in 14th century paintings. In some manuscripts, giallolino may have refered to Naples yellow or massicot.
