Description
A dark bluish gray Sandstone quarried in the Catskill Mountains near the Hudson River in New York. In the 19th century, Hudson River bluestone was used for sidewalks and curbs. It was also carved for the basin of the Bethesda Fountain in Central Park (Bucher 1996).
