Hydrozincite

Description

A mineral composed of basic Zinc carbonate. Hydrozincite deposits are found in Missouri, Pennsylvania, Utah, California, Nevada and Europe. It is a grayish -white ore that fluoresces in ultraviolet light. Basic zinc carbonate also occurs as zinc bloom, a tarnish that forms on metallic zinc in moist air.
