Description
A type of electronic printing ink. Inkjet printers were commercially developed in the 1960s that use small circular nozzles to spray microscopic droplets of ink onto the paper support. The ink is a Dye dissolved in a water solution. The ink may also contain a Biocide, buffer solution, and Chelating agent (Jarry 1999). In general, the dyes have poor lightfastness. Some prints may have a coating with a ultraviolet inhibitor.
