Description

A fine-grain sandstone quarried near McDermott in Scioto County, Ohio (Lent 1925). McDermott sandstone has a buff or blue color. It is easy to work and carves well. McDermott sandstone was most often used for paving, trim, sill, caps, grindstones and foundations.
