Corrosion resistance

Description

The ability of a material to resist chemical changes due to degradative environmental effects, such as moisture and pollution. Some materials that can be used to minimize corrosion include:

• Vapor phase corrosion inhibitor: provides a corrosion resistant layer on the surface
• Scavenger: removes pollutants and/or moisture and oxygen from the airs
• Desiccant: removes moisture from the air
