Description
A man-made, flat, thin, stiff material that is typically is longer than it is wide. Commonly used in construction and packaging, boards were originally composed of wood. Currently, a wide variety of less expensive materials are used to provide specific properties and surfaces. Thus, this website provides further information as well as many comparative tables for each board type.
1) Wood
- A long, flat plank of sawed lumber.
3) A stiff paper product greater than 0.012 inches in thickness. Examples are Paperboard, Bristol board, Illustration board, Academy board, and Cardboard.
