Alabama Marble Company, Gantt's Quarry

Description

A type of hard, fine-grain, creamy white marble that is mined in Alabama. Alabama creme marble has been used for sculpture. Varieties include:

Madre Cream - carves well, used for interior and exterior decorative work

Cream Blanc - pure white, fine-grain marble

Clouded Cream - white marble with cream clouds, no veining

Cream Veined - white marble with thin dark veins.
