Alumine

Description

A name used prior to the 1800s for aluminum type clays. They were also called argillaceous earth. Alumine has also been used as a brand name for a paper filler composed of sulfate calcium sulfate mixed with a small amount of sulfate aluminum sulfate (LaBarre 1969)
