Description

[Akzo Nobel Surface Chemistry] A brand name for a series of fatty acid amines. Armeen amine products are cationic surfactants, dispersing agents, emulsifiers, and corrosion inhibitors. One type, Armeen CD, is made from coconut oil and has been used as one component in a gelled solvent cleaning technique (Conservation Materials Ltd. catalog, 1998).
