Conservation Assessment Program

"The Conservation Assessment Program (CAP) is a federally funded grant from the Institute of Museum and Library Services that is administered by Heritage Preservation. CAP funds a general conservation survey of a museum's collections, environmental conditions and sites. A maximum of two assessors per institution are funded through CAP. Most museums are awarded an objects conservator to assess the museum's collections. CAP is a one-time grant awarded to eligible museums on a noncompetitive, first-come, first-served basis."
