Desorption

Description

The process of removing an adsorbed or absorbed material from a substrate. Desorption is usually accomplished by increased heat, decreased pressure, or by introducing a secondary material that has a stronger affinity for the substrate. It is the reverse process of Adsorption and Absorption.
