Description

A compound fabric prepared from two layers of textile that are interwoven together. Double cloth may simply be woven at the edges or, more often, the two fabrics overlay each other in the loom and are connected in a pattern of selected points by working warp or weft yarns from one layer into the opposite face. Double cloth is a warm, dense fabric that is used for blankets, overcoating, and brocade.
