Description
An insulation material made of a nonwoven mat of asbestos or hair. Felt insulation was commonly used prior to W.W.II. In recent years, synthetic insulating materials, such as fiberglass, have been used to form long, continuous strips of insulation. These are most typically called batt insulation.
