Description

A leather produced from a thick Cowhide that was split or peeled apart to form two thinner skins. The former outside portion is known as the Skiver (sheepskins and goatskins) or grain split (cowhides). The grain split retains the pattern of the hair follicles and pores. The layer obtained from the flesh side of the skin is called the Hide split.
