Pansy green

Description
An organic green colorant extracted from the petals of violets. Pansy green was precipitated on alum to form a lake. It is a fugitive pigment composed primarily of chlorophyll. Pansy green and Lely green, a similar plant extract, were mentioned as having been used in the 17th century.
