== Description ==

A family of thermosetting resins.  Polyamide-imide (PAI) resins are made by the combination of trimellitic anhydride with aromatic diamines.  The resin is cured with heat to form a stable polymer that is unaffected by most solvents or temperature up to 290C.  It is also resistant to ultraviolet light and gamma radiation.  PAI resins are used for laminates, valves, bearings, gears, printed circuit boards and electrical components.
