Pyrocatechol

Description
Colorless crystals that turn brown with exposure to air. Pyrocatechol can be synthesized from tar coal tar and occurs naturally in some plant materials. Pyrocatechol is used in inks, photography, dyes, leather tanning and as a light stabilizer and antioxidant.
