Description
A liquid, paste, or wax used to prevent adhesion. Any surface, such as a mold, can be coated with a release agent to prevent the mold material from sticking. Examples of release agents are: Teflon®, silicone, dusting powders (talc, mica, etc.) carnauba wax, zinc stearate, soap, tallow, paraffin, amide waxes (stearamide, oleoamide), and fluorocarbon sprays.
