Description

A pink, coarse-grain granite with variable red-color crystals quarried near St. George, Charlotte County, New Brunswick (Lent 1925). St. George granite was used for sculptures, buildings and monuments. It was used in the 1897 addition to the Museum of Natural History in New York City (Bucher 1996).
