Template for a Materials Record.

1. Above the = Description Header== Please enter the premier image in the format as

2. The 'Description' should contain the following: [Current Manufacturer in brackets] Any history for manufacturing should be included in the text. Please list: Material classification, latin name or chemical description, native source or production information; followed by history of use. For natural products, this includes the discovery, purification and development as a synthetic. For synthetics, this should indicate initial discovery, patent, (or the transfer to other manufacturer/with change of product names. Especially important is the use of this product in art or in preparation for use in art, stability, related materials, any additional information. Ensure all history of the commercial production, including the date, if possible, for patents.

For Claritication: the first part of the record should be: the current manufacturer name in brackets e.g. [Dupont teijin] Indicate the generic composition and history of use. For example, this material is a modification of cellulose first developed by ...and named.. Currently, the specific composition of ... is named,...(Or) the company sold the manfuacturing rights to ..

Include alternate names starting with the chemical name: followed by formal names: CAS #, CI #; non-English terms (with language abbreviations in parenthesis), then common names.
