Description

Examples of materials that have been used as fungicides are: Lime/Sulfur mixtures, Copper oxychloride, Bordeaux mixture (Copper sulfate/lime), Copper naphthenate, Zinc naphthenate, Sodium dichromate, Arsenic pentoxide, Arsenic trichloride, dithiocarbamate, Thymol, Lindane, Chloramine T, Dichlorophene, Pentachlorophenol, Dibutyl tin oxide, Sodium fluoride, mercury compounds (Mercaptobenzothiazole, Mercuric chloride), Salicylanilide, creosote, some fluorosilicates and hypochlorite solutions. Fungicides have been impregnated in textiles, paper, leather, and wood as well as painted on masonry and plaster.
