== Description ==

A caustic white crystalline powder. Lithium hydroxide is used in photographic developing solutions. It is also used as a sorbent for [[carbon dioxide]] especially in spacesuits. Lithium hydroxide in used the in manufacture of [[alkyd resin|alkyd]] resins and for the production of other lithium salts.

Soluble in water. Slightly soluble in ethanol.
