Description
Strong, durable adhesives that are used for adhering mechanical and structural parts. Structural adhesives typically exhibit excellent outdoor weathering and can withstand heavy stresses. Examples of these adhesives are:
- Epoxies : high strength, good temperature and solvent resistance
- Polyurethanes : flexible, resistant to shock and fatigue
- Acrylic adhesives : bonds to many surfaces, cures quickly, durable
- Cyanoacrylates : bond quickly, limited temperature and moisture resistance
- Silicone adhesive : flexible, good outdoor weathering, good sealing properties
