Pink Pearl® eraser

Description

[Sanford Corp formerly Faber-Castell] A registered trademark for a Factice eraser. Pink Pearl® erasers are composed of vulcanized Vegetable oil mixed with Rubber, antioxidants, Pumice, and colorants. The pumice acts as an abrasive as well as a filler. The Pink Pearl® erasers leave copious small crumbs that darken on aging and are difficult to remove (Estabrook, 1989). Surface pH measurement of the Pink Pearl® erasers gave a basic value of 9.17 (Estabrook, 1989).
